Make Your Own Mug and Plate

Suitable for all levels, especially beginners, in this workshop I’ll guide you through making a mug and a plate. Starting with a lump of clay, you’ll roll out your clay and use it to hand build a mug and a side plate with your own permanent potters mark. At the end of the workshop you’ll leave them with me to dry, fire and glaze. Your breakfast or snack set will be ready for you to pick up, or have them posted to you, within 3 weeks.

Whether you’re trying this out because you want to have a go at pottery or because you want to try something different you’ll pick up some useful skills. You’ll learn how to cut and form clay, how to make joins snd how to make a vessel using easily accessible techniques without the need for expensive equipment. There’s nothing like ‘clay play’ to take your mind to a relaxing place. Come ready to get your hands dirty and zone out for a couple of hours! A practical hand crafted addition to your home that you can use with pride.
